Ethical e-commerce
Application Deadline: October 31, 2020
The NABIO basket shop have been ran as a charity fundraising effort for years, but we belive its got the potential to be an ethical webshop standing on its own feet. We are seeking a team ready to be owners of an ethical e-commerce, taking advantage of the existing platform, products, supply, and media materials.
Role Details

We are recruiting for a team that can take over an ethical basket shop that contributes to giving an income to women in Kenya, whilst reinvesting profits into employability programmes in their local communities. The project was started by a group from Newcastle University that have now left it, and they are ready to hand it over - giving full freedom to shape it, reinvent it, and take it to the next level. The team will be given full control of the business in order to make it a viable and innovative business - given an existing supply of baskets, access to an existing e-commerce site (unless they would rather make a new one, or find other distribution channels), access to existing media, and a mentor from the previous team that can inform about previous experiences and history. Check out the products at: https://nabio.org/shop-baskets/. Feel free to ask questions to [email protected]
